On August 23, 2024, the 8th Building Economy Summit held in Yichang, Hubei Province, came to a successful conclusion. This summit aims to promote the high-quality development of China's building economy and build a platform for cooperation and exchanges in this sector. Themed on "Building Economy Development in the Context of New Quality Productive Forces", an array of events, including the summit and the "2024 China Building Economy Award" ceremony, were carried out to share insights on the development of the Chinese building economy.

The China Building Economy Summit was jointly initiated and participated by 18 urban governments of 15 cities in 2015, which has been held for seven sessions. The year's summit gathered famous experts in building economy, representatives of the real estate chambers and associations, Party committees (governments) of key urban districts and areas in national building economy, heads of building economy authorities, officials from the government departments of development and reform, economy and trade, commerce, investment and promotion, culture and creation, as well as representatives of typical CBDs nationwide, special business districts, industrial parks, characteristic towns, enterprises, industry associations, provincial and municipal media. The aim is to discuss the industrial development, as well as the development trend, innovation models, industry integration and digital transformation for the building economy, share best practices and successful cases, and establish a communication and cooperation platform to promote the high-quality development of building economy.

"China Building Economy Award" is the earliest award in the field of building economy initiated by the first batch of 18 urban government members of China Building Economy Union and China Building Economy Summit. The "Top 10 Iconic Buildings for Operations Management" award is currently one of the typical awards commending the building economy.

At this summit, the Jiefangbei CBD won the title of "Top 10 Dynamic Business Districts 2024", and the Yingli International Financial Centre (IFC) won the "Top 10 Iconic Buildings for Operations Management 2024" for its outstanding performance in building operation and management.

Yingli International Financial Centre (IFC) is the first project in Chongqing to win the LEED Pre-certification Gold Award by international authoritative grade assessment from the U.S Green Building Council. It encompasses various business formats, including shopping centre, office building, shared office space, boutique hotel and entrepreneurs' club.

In 2023, the IFC started to provide value-added services of free office space for the settled enterprises by creating shared office spaces. It also introduced an entrepreneurs' club to expand high-end business space for the settled enterprises and optimize experiences of VIP clients. Additionally, it introduced the ISEYA Hotel and increased the high-end business facilities, enriching the business environment and atmosphere of the project. All these efforts have created an efficient and comfortable workplace for urban business people.
